In thrilling comeback fashion, Russia won the gold medal at the Ice Hockey World Championship earlier today. Heading into the third period down 4-2, Russia scored twice to force the game into Overtime.
1:55 into the OT period, Rick Nash was whistled for delay of game and just 45 seconds later, Ilya Kovalchuk scored to win the game for Russia.
Fedor Tyutin had an assist in the game.
