- The guys at Sens Army Blog have come up with an idea to motivate the rest of the league to beat the rival Canadiens. “The No Habs No! campaign is an ongoing undertaking of Sens Army Blog to reward players responsible for costing the Montreal Canadiens points in the standings. Every player who scores a game-winning goal against Montreal this season will be given a hand-written letter and $1.00 in local currency as a way of saying thank you.” So far, Blake Wheeler, Richard Park, and Tomas Fleischmann have gotten $1 each for their heroics. (click on names for scan of letter sent to each player.)
- Sean Avery might have lots of sloppy seconds but Ludacris’ got hoes in different area codes. Click on the map for a much larger version.
On to the picks!
#3 Vancouver Canucks @ #7 Minnesota Wild
Eric – Wild – Backstrom in net for the Wild, Canucks played last night in Detroit, and no Luongo again.
Marc – Wild – They are tough to play at home.
Rory – Wild – I couldn’t care less about this game – but the Wild’s colors remind me of Christmas, and I like Christmas.
#12 Calgary Flames @ #25 St. Louis Blues
Eric – Flames – Jarome Iginla is the man. Chris Mason isn’t. *gimmie*
Marc – Flames – The Blues are not a good team and they have mediocre goaltending. Maybe Iginla will have a big game, but either way, Sean Avery will be bored with him. *gimmie*
Rory – Flames – Seriously. St. Louis near the bottom, Calgary near-ish the top. The the St. Louis logo just annoys me. *gimmie*
#22 Colorado Avalanche @ #28 Dallas Stars
Eric – Avs – They should win this one pretty handily.
Marc – Avs – The Stars are really bad. Does Turco have a backup?? Is this backup the worst goalie on earth? Why doesn’t he ever play?
Rory – Avs – Dallas just sucks this season.
#21 Edmonton Oilers @ #24 Los Angeles Kings
Eric – Oilers – When was the last time the Kings were relevant? 1993?
Marc – Kings – Edmonton players will all be hung over after partying it up in LA the night before.
Rory – Kings – Flip a coin. This game is going to be a shit show. Hmm, maybe I’ll watch.
