Oy vey.

That round black thing is supposed to stay in FRONT of you, Henrik.
So, it turns out, the Rangers aren’t out of the woods just yet. Just when they turned in one kick-ass performance against Pittsburgh – 4-0 with a powerplay goal, a shorthanded goal(not against us for once!), and Henke’s first shut-out of the season – then came the shitfest against Montreal. I don’t say this often, if at all, but I’m saying it now: A good portion of that loss was Henrik’s fault. Those first two goals were complete brain-farts on his part. The rest were what Tom Renney described as Montreal’s typical “feeding frenzy”. Couple that with the usual defensive gaffs, and typical lack of offensive prowess, that all added up to a humiliating loss.
So here’s hoping they can pick themselves up tonight and get a win.
Buffalo’s been pretty good all season, and while they’ve faltered a bit, there’s no reason why the Rangers shouldn’t be able to beat them.
One key thing to note is that Stephen Valliquette will be in goal tonight – since he was bad against Ottawa, and Henrik was bad against Buffalo, Renney decided to swap them. That’s Sam Weinman’s take, anyway.
