The Rangers freed up some room on their cap by waiving Rissmiller. (Ideally for the Rangers, nobody else will claim him, and he will end up in Hartford for the season.)
I don’t know about everyone else, but I’d much rather see Brendan Shanahan skating along side Drury and Naslund than a constantly rotating winger group of Prucha, Fritsche, and Rissmiller.
Now, if the Rangers would just sign the guy already.

well rissmiller is garbage anyway, but you gotta give prucha a shot the guy scored 30 goals in 06. i do like shanahan too, but how much hockey does the guy have left?
he has enough left. Probably could score more goals than Prucha. He would know if he wouldnt have anything left. just trust shanny.
Think it’ll actually happen? Maybe they are making their move for Sundin instead? Either way, there have been enough radio stations speculating about shanny for a while now, that I’m sure its gonna happen eventually.
i hope it happens now. I am tired of this on going shanny stuff. It stresses me out.
