You know how in Braveheart, Robert the Bruce says to William Wallace, “Fighting these odds looks like rage.” Well, for me, when it comes to the Phlyers, it’s “well beyond rage.” As William Wallace said, “If we join, we can win. If we win, well then we’ll have what none of us has ever had before: a [playoff spot] of our own.” Yes, I may be paraphrasing a bit. Yes, I may have watched Braveheart twice today. But, with the Rangers up by 1 point in the standings, the game this afternoon at MSG is a big one. 2 points today (especially in regulation) would give the winning team an inside track to the playoffs. Oh yeah, 2 points today would also put the Rangers within 4 points of the Devils for 1st place in the Atlantic division. Big game.
